It would set a new precedent. "Thoughts from a cubicle" .
Re: NERDY SELF-PROMOTION GEEKERY
Thanks Kumar, I knew it'd be laying around there somewhere. I think that's how I figured out how to get the Jakob interview, then a couple of weeks later I'd forgotten how I did it. Senility really is a bitch.
Roger that good buddy, I'm reading you loud and clear. So what you're hinting at is that you'll record it on the bus on the way home? Say no more, say no more, mum's the word.

Yes, we'll call the podcast Mutterings Over Unreasonable Amounts of Background Noise.

That's pretty much what many of the "Mind Trip" sections are in my FI podcast, as I now always carry my mic attachment for my Ipod with me. I work in an industrial setting. And I'm always looking for an excuse to goof off at work...
Thanks for reminding me of the feed url, Kumar! I'd sort of forgotten about that now that I have the show up on Itunes....
Re: NERDY SELF-PROMOTION GEEKERY
I subscribe to podcasts by putting the feed URLs into iTunes. To be honest, other ways seem weird and arcane to me. I've always thought of the definition a podcast as a media-enriched RSS feed that you can subscribe to.

I do that quite often as well. It was only recently I noticed you can "submit" podcasts to Itunes...once they approve your show, you automatically have a page on Itunes and show up in their search engine. So I thought that was handy.
But both ways work.
Personally I love Itunes, but I need to remember that not everyone uses it.
Re: NERDY SELF-PROMOTION GEEKERY
Also, if you subscribe to the URL, the podcast is available to download sooner. iTunes seems to need a couple of hours after uploading before it shows it as available and allows download.

Re: NERDY SELF-PROMOTION GEEKERY
OK, this all has inspired me to start a page for the Fatal Interview Podcast:
http://tonypucci.homestead.com/fatalinterview.html
Soon www.fatalinterview.com and www.pollyannacowgirl.com (that one for now) will direct you to the above url. Takes an hour or so for that to kick in. Hope it all makes sense and helps facilitate y'all listening to the show, however you choose to do so!
All the best, TP

Just trolling for a few inappropriate (?) homoerotic comments from y'all! I think my part-time job at the bakery has warped my mind; we spend a lot of time together in a hot building in close quarters. One thing leads to another...
Actually, my friend Chris did a whole series of these with his Ken doll; I don't know why, but they make me very geeky happy! And bubbles are fun. And Ken looks really hot in this picture...
Re: NERDY SELF-PROMOTION GEEKERY
I might understand the spell Ken is casting on you guys if his hair wasn't flesh coloured. That's just creeping me out.

bloggy blog blog blog
Hello everyone. Me and a couple of guys I work with have just set up a new blog. It pretty much just takes a look at the week that was, re hash's it and makes it funnier. plus we add little witty laments. I just thought this would be a cool place to get it out there as we’re all on the same level. Take a look. Feel free to criticise (though I will hate you) and or tell us stuff to write about. Send me your stuff if you like.
Cheers

Weather Station 4.
http://www.chirbit.com/weathereye
See, what happened was I decided to record a Weather Station 3 Summer Special. And when it was done, I remembered why I stopped doing it. So I looked for an alternative, and fell upon chirbit.com. I'm still working out the kinks, but so far, this micropodcasting business is a lot of fun. It gives me what I wanted -- a quick, easy way to rant and rave via audiodiary -- but cuts out all the crap.

The boys and I came up with this amazing concept. We write stuff on a web page and you hopefully read it. We're calling it a blaedkuegfkayf. Maybe we can come up with something catchier in the future. District 9 Vs. The Hurt Locker up now. MastersOfNoneShow.blogspot.com

I come here to pimp myself, and we've already been pimped! By Jakob! Makes me feel all tingly.
Episode 2, the first real episode will be out tomorrow, and I promise you it will be better than the first one. Don't let Episode 1 scare you away.

Hmm, I've never mentioned this here before. I blog. You know, because I'm original Mostly, it's nerdy wordy perambulations of the most inane variety. Lately, I've been on a Star Trek jag (shocking!). Sometimes, I say something that resembles intelligence.

One caveat. COMMENTING DISALLOWED! And it's such a good blog you'll be frothing to do so. Maybe we'll open a thread here for commenting on ro's site. I think I will. Yes.

Keeps Karen's shields up against time warp radiation, while enabling friends and neighbors to chat over the fence.

Re: NERDY SELF-PROMOTION GEEKERY
I have lived, I have learned. The first Fatal Interview VidCast is now online and on Itunes. Me saying "hey", "I'm busy", "buy the charity CD" (thanks Karen and GAB!)...and some pics of my studio, which ain't much, but it's slightly geeky...

The actual audio podcast is on "hiatus" for the moment...might be back around mid-October. No worries, I have lots of ideas and a few bits of Skype funnery planned...just need the free time! In the meanwhile, I am going to upload a series of music videos I've made, including a new one featuring a tribute to my sister Jenny, using a song from the new charity CD. Enjoyeth thou!
cheers!
