#3 Fan Fictions

I think this may need re-visiting. I listen to loads of Fan Fiction AudioDrama's released as podcasts!!To name a few-

Planet of the Apes, Mad Max, Conan, Logans Run and loads more released by BrokenSea Audio. Superman, Batman, WonderWoman, CatWoman, Star Wars, Star Trek and LOADS more done by Pendant Productions. Buffy Between The Lines is a really good one.

And now, I've befriended (and even co-host a podcast with) AudioDrama writers/voice actors over at FictionShed Productions. Are these MORE geeky than fan-fics...or do these make fan fictions more credulous and less geeky?

I think they're more comparable to FanFilms. Generally not as Mary-Suey, more of an attempt to create something that might be in the canon.

I was watching the trailer for Harry Potter 6 the other day and there was a fan film in the related video's

I think it was Snape teaching hermione to dance or something... I didn't click it

It's obviously the seriousness with stuff that bothers me, it's the same problem I have with fanart... but not with fanfic
The tongue in cheek ones [insert inuendo here] are better, but serious fanfiction doesn't bother me... hmm

Right, I have cleared the "fan fiction podcasts " hurdle. I've done 7 lines to be used in the next episode of Novo-B....and I may be asked to do some lines for "Genesis Of The Borg"

I'm not normally bad at accents, but when I started recording as a character, I could only do it as an 'ello 'ello style WWII comedy french revolutionary accent or a stereotypical New York cabbie!! It was supposed to be Russian......or alien...or something....

I'm not abig fan of fanfilms either...the serious ones just turn me off...however fanfictions I prefer the serious stuff...the ones where they are taking the shit I don't really like at all, weird I know.

I used to be really into the slash stuff too...although recently I find myself more and more attracted to the femslash stuff and leaving the regular slash behind.

"Regular" slash is manslash? "Manslash" makes me thing "mangina." Makes me thing about writing a Riker-tranny story.

Can i write the sequel where Rikers winky escapes and takes over the galaxy?

Will there be an evil mirror universe winky? And how will we tell who is who? Instead of Shaved V Unshaved, you could have Cut V Uncut....... Sorry, I'll go now!!

I've been meaning to post this link, although I'm sure that you regular fan fic readers are already well aware of its existence: www.fanfiction.net. I haven't been here in a while, but this is like the behemoth of all fan fiction sites.

I don't know if I've just done a good thing or not...

I was disappointed to find out the single "A Different World" story was some Pokemon thing and not the Cosby spin-off.

So I hurdled this nerd by reading some fanfic of what used to be my greatest obsession; Pokemon. Needless to say, I started off light but then dived in at the deed end and ultimately ended up reading one were Ash and Misty get it on. Meh.

My weirdest thought was, I wonder if Brock was the kind of dude who liked to watch.

I must admit, I was totally consumed by the Pokemon phenomenon as a kid. I was round about 8 when it came out and it just blew me away. I went to see the second movie in the cinemas like 4 times cos each time you got a trading card, and that trading card collection of mine is probably worth didly squat right about now. I still need to dig it out from the loft.

lol I read about 2 paragraphs then decided I could waste my time on better things. It just read like a really bad erotic scene in some book. There probably are better ones out there that stick in some in jokes to the characters. I'm just hoping there isn't any bestiality pokemon fanfic.
