How do I stop this internet echo? Can I sunder the loop by saying that I went to Stirling yesterday and that this was not a coincidence , but a necessary consequence of living in the vicinity of the town? Or is my word devoid of power against the tide of the masses that inhabit this virtual home?

I am both crying at his loss AND crying because I can't afford any of it!!

Clearly, he bought the Deathstar.

Toy Collector "You got any Jabba the Huts?"
That guy "I've got a Jabba. The real one. Life-size. And you can get inside with 5 buddies and make it move. You know, the one in the actual movie."
Toy Collector drops dead.

Clearly, he bought the Deathstar.
But if he bought the Death Star, surely he'd be using it as a giant storage facility, to the point he'd have to rename it the Dork Star

You're right. I shouldn't underestimate the power of the dork side.

Today I actually started a script for a FictionShed AudioDrama. First piece of fiction written since Junior school (About age of 10!!) Took all night and only got 2 scenes done.........phew!!
Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
Yesterday a friend and I watched the extended editions of the Lord of the Rings films back-to-back. It was epic.
Last week, we had a 24-hour film marathon. 12 comedies. It was great.

I keep saying that I'm going to do that, but I never seem to get around to it. It is also a problem that I don't have ROTK.
Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
It's the best way to experience the LotR films. The extended editions add A LOT of material which adds to the emotional impact of the film, in particular many character moments and funny bits for Pippn & Merry and Legolas & Gimli, and a lot of character development for Faramir & Boromir.

In our house, you have a sight-line from the laundry room and kitchen over to the TV. When we did the complete/extended LOTR marathon, we didn't even really stop for meals. We just cooked and ate and cleaned up while watching.kumarhk wrote:It's the best way to experience the LotR films. As I recall, it was very much like a 14-hour theatrical experience.

Nerdiest thing today, so far: smiling all through a SHaFT podcast that called out Scott R. and me as "geeks of Simply Syndicated."
That'll work.

VICE CITY, VICE CITY, HOW I HAVE MISSED THOU.
I have a Vice City chip in my brain.
I have had the "VICE CITY STORIES" PSP game for months and not fired it up. I wanted to play it, but I thought it might be lame...so it just sat on the shelf.
TILL NOW.
My ass was tired of getting kicked in PRINNY so I took a much more satisfying gaming route.
It is not a rehash of the original game...but new stuff!
The towns are laid out the same!
And I am jacking cars and shooting fools like the old days.
Controls are sweet and the graphics hit that same Rockstar PS2 mark.
My nerdiest thing today is tooo many hours of this.

Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
I started the day with some awesome BSG episodes. Then I struggled through some surprisingly subpar ones, so when it got awesome again I was ready to keep going. I told myself I'd stop before the two-part season finale. I didn't. I told myself I'd stop after season 3 ended. I didn't. I think I watched about 14 episodes in total.
Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
I spoke to another imaginary friend for the first time ever today using the wonders of Skype.
I also went to my nephews birthday party and managed to have a dig at my brother. Not really geeky, but fun. He had a moan about my spoking. Apparently, my lungs won't last long. Seeing as he's an alcoholic in denial I managed to shut him up with the words, "My lungs will last longer than your liver!" He didn't know I knew about his drink problem. Yay, go me!
Gotta love sibling love/hate relationships though!
