Geek Quizzes
considering that this topic was taking over the introduction thread i decided to give it a proper home. So if you're curious to see what house you would be in at Hogwarts check out this personality quiz: http://www.personalitylab.org/tests/ccq_hogwarts.htm (warning, it's very long.)
Apparentley i'm a Hufflepuff although surprisingly there was only one mark between my Hufflepuff and Gryfindor marks.
Hufflpuff:66
Gryffindor:65
Slytherin:56
Ravenclaw: 48
I just had a cunning plan, why not use this thread for people to share geeky personality quizzes, Computer resume program.

Hufflepuff - 88
Ravenclaw - 83
Griffindor - 69
Slytherin - 52
I'm actually disappointed with that but I got bored towards the end and just put any old number.

Re: Geek Quizzes
*high five straight back at ya!*
And Mandi, it also makes perfect sense that you'd be straddling between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor.
I'm a bit disappointed in my lack of Slytherinness, though ...

Wow, look at us and our similar scores.
Re: Geek Quizzes
71 Gryffindor
72 Ravenclaw
71 Hufflepuff
57 Slytherin
Hmm. Quite fitting actually, I was never able to pick which house I'd want to be in, but any of these three would be ok!

70 - Ravenclaw
68 - Hufflepuff

I think those "right down the middle" scores are cuz I tend to be very polite in person to others, but when I'm alone I can be very cynical. I really didn't know how to answer half of these questions, I thought the whole thing was wierdly subjective for me; each situation is highly unique, and there are a multitude of variables that would dictate how I would act and what I would say in any one particular situation. Hell, maybe I'm just a Squib!

Re: Geek Quizzes
Me either. I feel that Jakob and I would have a strenous (but still friendly) friendship if we have to live in the same common room though. But I'm sure whenever we got into a fight Roundapanda would hold me back and Mandi would hold Jakob back, so I guess we'd be alright.
My imagination goes strange places sometimes (Blame the HKEAA)

Re: Geek Quizzes
I think for Jakob and I to be at Hogwats at the same time as Kumar and RoundaP we'd need to be teachers. Maybe Kumar and Jakob would have a relationship similar to Snape and Harry's? And I don't mean that in a snarry way.

Snarry: a love/Hape relationship

I'm Gryffindor. Does that make me the least intelligent member of this Forum then?

Probably not. There's gotta be a Hufflepuff out there who didn't post their results. Out of utter shame.
I'm thinking I might read the books this summer.
Re: Geek Quizzes
I think they are all worth a read for sure, so long as you don't take them too seriously. Its a series of kids books, and they should be taken as such. They are of a high quality, for sure, but past the detail of the world she creates I don't see anything fantastic about Rowlings style.

READ THEM! READ THEM! READ THEM!
But if you didn't like Philosephers Stone (Or Sorcerer's stone as it's called across the pond) I just have to say DO NOT GIVE UP ON CHAMBER OF SECRETS! It is the book I consider the weakest, not that it's badly written or anyting, I just don't like it as much as the others.
Deffinately persevere until you get to Prisoner of Azkaban, because that's when everything gets all awesome and Lupiny and multi layered.
God I love the multiple layers... The character's and the plot mature alot more over the course of the next two books and when you hit Order of The Phoenix everything that follows - wow!
Ahem - I shall cease my nerding, for the moment

Re: Geek Quizzes
Lupiny- the best adjective I have ever heard. I actually consider Order of the Phoenix to be the weakest. Its so pretentious and political. I like Prisoner of Azkaban the best. I think that book builds up tension almost perfectly to get to the fantastic last act. That book is probably the most low key and melancholy as well, actually just thinking about makes me wanna give it a reread.
