# 31 Three Weddings and a Funeral School
I'm so fed up with you people. Can't a guy have a quiet night of podcast listening without having to laugh out loud and make people think he's crazy? Crikey. Bad enough that this episode focused on stuff I know a lot about, like weddings and diamonds and Oz and also strippers, but you had to get into steam-whistling nipples and Flying Monkey Weddings.
When Igor started unbuttoning, I had to go find a quiet place.
Please go back to the monotones. I need some peace and quiet.

Don't worry there'll be no laughing next week. For serious. And I mean that. Seriously.
Re: # 31 Three Weddings and a Funeral School
No, there'll be an episode next week (well within ten days of the last at least). Just don't expect to laugh. I don't know why I feel so compelled to apologize for it though.

Are you thuggething you are covering a theriouth topic?
The first thing that comes to mind for that is the discomfort, or "hurdle" some might feel when dealing with those whom are "different" from themselves. Perhaps when a person feels uncomfortable around someone with a handicap. Or racism. Or douchebags with money who can't "bring themselves down" to the level of the proletariat.
Am I close...or just talking shit on my break at work?
Re: # 31 Three Weddings and a Funeral School
Are you calling the bourgeoisie douchebags? Doucheoisie is a good term.
I don't remember if we covered any of those topics because I haven't listened to the playback yet. I suspect some of those topics were covered.

I really don't get how weddings have gotten so friggin' out of control. I didn't even know about the "Bridezilla" phenomenon until I stumbled upon a conversation at work about some reality show about them. Some of the stuff my coworkers were describing made me want to scream "WTF?" Are you pledging your undying love to someone or exorcising some horrible "Type A" demons?
I love the concept of the "theme" wedding when done well (great case in point is the good Admiral Marius and his wedding). I'd love to see a Borg-themed wedding in which one partner "assimilates" the other. Not sure how that would work in real time, but somehow the line "From this time forward, you will service us" would have to be worked in there.
Oh, and Captain Janeway was very pleased to hear Igor at the end of this episode. She's missed him since getting to meet him at the BBQ

I'd like to see a Borg wedding myself.

Actually, I was talking about some nastiness in my family's past. But I imagine it's quite a common problem.

Whatever did happen to that band, Douchewalla?

In answer to the fanny pack debate. Here in the UK we call them BumBags. And yes Mandi, you were right. We wear them at the front.....or at least we did in the 90's. People tend not to wear them at all now....unless they work on a market stall selling fruit and veg!
Re: # 31 Three Weddings and a Funeral School
Another great episode, although I listened to this one in the car instead of while mowing the lawn. Thank you for the very nice things you said about my wedding(you too, Ro). :-) We tried to make it as fun as possible for everyone involved without crossing the 'this is so geeky it's uncomfortable' line, and I think we succeeded. We still have people from the church(my wife's and her family's Baptist church) who say it was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding.

Igor wears a tux now? I love him to bits but I never realized he was such a class act.

If Igor's banana starts talking I may have to leave the internets.

What is it with all the "banana" comments floating around on the forums lately? Disturbingly enough, they keep bringing to mind the Pac-man penis conversation from SHaFTMarius wrote:If Igor's banana starts talking I may have to leave the internets.
How about we discuss another fruit? Personally, I love peaches. I could eat a peach for hours.
(Catch the allusion and toss me back the movie title!)
Re: # 31 Three Weddings and a Funeral School
Ah, one of the shames about Twitter is that not everyone uses it!
Basically Jakobs banana escaped a horrible death the other day by hiding on Jakobs kitchen counter whilst Jakob went to work, unaware that his bag was roughly one banana short of a packed lunch! It then opened a Twitter account and tried to work with Blakey Bizz in a bid to escape consumption and find freedom........it didn't work!

OK, now someone has to answer this question. I want to see that movie. If I've already seen it, then I need to see it again because I'm drawing a blank for some reason.ro karen wrote:

Nah, GAB, I don't think you'd want to watch this particular movie. You might want to rip your face off if you did.GAB wrote:OK, now someone has to answer this question. I want to see that movie.
