I think I could sample enough soundbites from his podcasts to create a Windows soundscheme... I'm glad I have too many pokers in the fire to take on that project.
Yet.

Yep, totally, I hear you, same here. And the exact reason I have not yet simply broken down and created a 30-second NH podcast promo for you and Mandi. Several times, listening to your podcast, I've thought, "Oh, that part would work great for a promo!" If I wasn't usually at work when I listen to your show, who knows, I might have sent you a mp3 to approve by now. As always, stradling the boundary of appropriateness, but also donating to the common good...

Perhaps the strongest censoring force in the universe is nothing more than "all the other stuff I'm doing" instead.
Nerdiest thing I've done today simply has to be signing up here, cataloging my geekdom, crossing some lines I've drawn in my own sand.
And, since I'm itching to try out new emoticons, here's a combo that I'm taking to mean
hip[pie] cool and exciting:

Todays is no more than Tweeting "May the 4th be with you.......always!"
I've not yet greeted anyone with this face to face...

The nerdiest thing I've done is think to myself, I think, "I wonder if Luis knows he's wearing a Logan's Run sandman uniform." He really looks like he is.
Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
Today, in honour of May the 4th, I am wearing a custom Star Wars shirt, that is made from a regular dress shirt and part of a Star Wars bed sheet. You know, I now realize that I really need to meet the person who made it. May the fourth be with you.
Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
I just tested out my little mp3 recorder, cuz I'm going over to a friend's house this afternoon to record a podcast. I'm totally full of nerd excitement!
Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
Update: I sought out a new branch of the public library to visit—It was nice. And retweeted something by Wil Wheaton.

2nd update. I just ordered the complete TNG DVDs. 49 discs of nerdiness.

Oh! My! God! I can't even believe it. I am going to die! None of the smilies express my current level of enthusiasm.

I said, "May the Fourth be with you!" to my wife. She rolled her eyes at me.

It was me that dragged us all to the left sideweathereye wrote:I tried to fix it, but that would have involved re-doing hours of editing and I finally said "hey, so we're lefties, big deal" and left it.
Nerdiest action of my day? I used this thread and Jakob's post about the TNG DVDs he just bought as an excuse to finish out my Trek DVD collection: I just ordered a used set of all seven Voyager seasons. Now I can perfect that Janeway impression...
Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
I'm afraid I may be way more than just 98 discs nerdier when it comes to Trek
Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
My cell phone rang in class. My ringtone is the X-files theme. I blushed.
Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
Awww. That ringtone has so many sentimental attachments.
Re: What's the Nerdiest thing you've done today?
Only one of my teachers has a notable ringtone of any kind. It's the Close Encounters of a Third Kind theme.Mandi wrote:My cell phone rang in class. My ringtone is the X-files theme. I blushed.
If my teacher had the X-files theme as a ringtone, I'd need to talk to that one more often
Why don't I get cool teachers like Mandi? Ah well. That's the way it is, I suppose ...

Yesterday I spent many many hours adding to a wiki and enjoyed every damn second of it. The day before that I spent time seeking out icons to replace the standard ones on my laptop.

I have a Homestead account, limitless webpages, which I primarily use for my music, amongst other things. One of those "other things" is my "private links" webpage, basically a page of bookmarks, favorite and frequently used links for myself whenever I'm online. That way, no matter where I am nor what computer I'm on, I can open that page and browse much more conveniently. It's my home page on my laptop. It's the first page I open at work, etc.
Today I added the "Nerd Forum" and "Twitter" to the page!
